Event overview

The one lap 10K course starts and finishes on the beautiful Bedford Embankment and runs out alongside the flat, tree-lined river Ouse. After heading out towards Priory Park and a lap of the beautiful Priory Lake you’ll return to the Embankment over the Town Bridge and hearing the cheers of the crowds at the finish line.

Those tackling the Half Marathon will head back out for a second lap with a slight extension to make up the accurate 21.1km (13.1 mile) Half Marathon distance.

The whole route is on traffic-free tarmac or firm paths and with less than 50m of elevation across the 10K, and 100m across the Half Marathon its bound to be a PB buster!

This event is more than just a run. You’ll be warmed up with personal trainers, welcomed home by a professional commentator and your cheer squad will be kept fed and watered by quality caterers while you run.

A free Children’s Fun Run will also take place before the race start (no need to book, just turn up to registration, and you’re welcome to use it as a warm-up for the main event!).

The Bedford 10k is flat and fast, great PB potential. Lovely course and well marshalled. The medal was beautiful. Think it’s up there as one of my favourites. Definitely recommend this race. Petra W

Brilliant event, well organised and friendly. Julie B

Really good - my first half marathon and really enjoyed it. Corin I

Well organised event, friendly race organisers and volunteers Sarah O

Really good event. Nice flat course, very well organised and supportive Marshalls all around the course. Will definitely do it again next year. Lee A

Firstly the event was huge with plenty going on, fun fair for the children, music for the adults and food venders around. The run itself was well organised with pacers on the 10k from 35 mins all the way to 75 mins. It was marshalled well all the way around and had music playing at some of the further away locations.
