Endurance trail routes along the stunningly beautiful Somerset Coast!
Complete a foot tour of Brean Down, the dramatic limestone peninsula, and celebrate your monumental achievement at the National Trust’s Brean Down Cafe with fellow runners and wear your locally-made medal with pride. The event wouldn’t be complete without visiting iconic landmarks at the start and finish of your journey.
The beautiful routes will take you along the coast passing through many wonderful locations such as; Blue Anchor, Watchet, West Quantockshead waterfall, Kilve beach, Lilstock, Steart Marshes, Bridgwater Docks, Burnham on Sea and Brean Down.
The regular aid stations will help to keep you sustained as you complete what is set to be a ‘must do’ endurance run.
This event is part of Somerset Coast Challenge.
All entrants need to be sign in.
Trail shoes.
Sections of the route are wetter and more technical than others but the additional grip of a trail shoe is advised.

As this is a linear route you are asked to think carefully about how you get to and from the start and finish.
Both start locations and the finish location have public car parks a short distance away.
The best option would be to ask a friend or family member to drop you or a group of you off at the start and collect you from the finish.
Let’s try to be environmentally friendly and car share.
The cafe at the finish will be open during the day of the event and will be open late for you to purchase beverages and food after your adventure.
The marathon distance starts at Bridgwater Docks and finishes at the National Trust’s Brean Down Cafe after completing a lap of Brean Down. The event wouldn’t be complete without visiting iconic landmarks at the start and finish.
This beautiful route will take you along the coast passing through many wonderful locations such as; Blue Anchor, Watchet, West Quantockshead waterfall, Kilve beach, Lilstock, Steart Marshes, Bridgwater Docks, Burnham on Sea and Brean Down.
The event will be ‘self-navigated’, you’ll will be keeping the sea to your left through your journey and following the King Charles III Coast Path way markers. You will be supplied with a route description, route maps and a GPX file.

Cut off times will be strictly followed for the safety of the runners and the volunteer marshals.
You are advised to carry plenty of food and fluids with you so you are prepared for the whole distance.
Aid stations will be present every 8-10 miles where you’ll find plenty of goodies to fuel and hydrate you.
There will be water available at the start, at each checkpoint/aid station and at the finish. Please bring a drinking vessel as we are now cupless as part of our eco ethos.
You can purchase a collapsible running cup from registration which you can reuse time and time again.
Finishers medal £5.00 + booking fee
Finishers medals are an optional paid extra which can be purchased when entering online at least 8 days in advance.
16-17 year olds can run solo with parental consent.
