A Top 10 race in the MARM races of the year 2023.
Be one of thousands to experience the 13.1 mile closed-road half marathon route which features grass and steps!
Based in the Heart of England, with excellent transport links, The Amazing Northampton Run is accessible wherever you live.
The event is proud to work alongside over 30 charity partners, fundraising for a whole host of local and national causes.
This year’s race is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Rob Powell from NHCF.
Suggestions would be (if you are walking) at the start then it is half a mile to the Spencer Bridge Road/Barrack Road junction (mile 5); then across 1.5 miles to Christchurch Road (mile 8.6) and 1.3 miles back to the finish.
If you are not ready for the full distance why not grab a couple of friends and run this as a relay? As a team of 3 you will break the course down into 3 stages:
Start to Franklins Gardens Rugby Stadium (4.3 miles approx.).
Franklins Gardens Rugby Stadium to the Abington Park Museum Entrance (4.1 miles approx.).
Abington Park Museum Entrance to the finish (4.7 miles approx.).

There will be portable toilets in the Market Square.
There is parking for over 2000 vehicles in the town centre. Search online for Council Car Parks. The Ridings Car Park will not be accessible on race day. At the time of writing you will need to pay if you park for longer than 2 hours on a Sunday.

There are also over 1600 hotel rooms available in and around the town for visitors from further a field.
The course was really interesting with different points of interest to look forward to and they helped keep me going like thinking am running to sixfields, then racecourse, Abington park, Uni and back into town. Going a different way round the cobblers stadium would be good as had to walk up the steps as didn’t want to risk falling over by running up them. Also the narrow canal path after bridge street meant all the racers were crammed together for a period with no one been able to pass each other. Haydn D
Really well organised and run event! From social media activity leading upto the event with information, to really supportive Marshall’s and pacers as well as supporters from local businesses along a fantastic route showing off the best bits of Northampton! Really enjoyed the run and will be back next year! Cherise G

Total AMAZING! Loved it, well organised x Karen E
Having done the last 4 years on the old course this years was like a real challenge and fun ! I really liked the steps at the football ground, also seeing the sights of Northampton, it was brilliant how we came down Abington street with the crowd cheering from both sides to the finishing line! Having Michelle Lewis calling the names as we finished was brilliant! I would give the event 100 out of 100 well done to all the team! β€οΈ Peter V
