Starting off in Skipton Market Town and the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales before heading out on the canal to Saltaire allows runners the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful route.

If you like beautiful races in beautiful places, like fun, like medals and like goodies then this event is for you. 

You'll enjoy the feel-good factor and lots of lovely things at the finish, as well as a bespoke finishers medal.

It's Grim Up North

This event is part of the It's Grim Up North calendar of runs, offering a range of distances and levels of difficulty so there is something for everyone.

Famous for its low-key approach, all runners will be greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat.

The aim is to get you out running, help you enjoy the beautiful countryside with great camaraderie and for you to experience the sense of well-being you get when you cross that finish line.

Having completed your race the type of goodies everyone wants will await you!

You'll be shown that the North is anything but Grim.

Parking

Parking is limited at the Leisure Centre. The council has requested that you park in the Town Centre and walk the 500 yards to the start/finish area. If you try to park at the leisure centre, there is a good chance you will be re-directed to the town centre, and you’ll miss the start of your event.

The train station is a 500-yard walk from the start/finish/registration.

Headphones

The use of headphones is not endorsed for the following safety reasons:

  • Runners cannot always hear the marshals’ instructions
  • Runners may not hear cyclists behind them and stray into their path
  • Bone conduction earphones are allowed
